Rino Chart

I've been spending the last couple weeks getting ready for a big craft show, I've wanted to upload a chart to the blog but haven't had much time so I whipped up this Rino Chart. I drew this Rino as part of a growth chart that I did for my son and I thought it would be a cute cross stitch.

I'm looking forward to the big show, but I'm also looking forward to it being done so I can get started on xmas presents. I have a huge list of handmade gifts this year so I really need to get started. My new project of the year is crochet Rag Rugs

I did this little dog to stitch up for my little guy, he loves dogs and this is pretty small so it stitches up pretty quickly.

Home is where we are Together - Counted Cross Stich

Last month my Son and I moved, the move wasn't exactly in my "lifes plan" but it happened none the less. Our new house is tiny but cute and really homey, little by little it's feeling more like home. I designed this chart because I wanted some sort of variation on a Home Sweet Home cross stitch but I wanted something that reminded me that it doesn't matter where I live as long as I have my little guy with me I'm all set.

I'm about half way through the chart but wanted to put it up here for free download for anyone that would like to stitch it. The Chart has the colour scheme I used but feel free to change it up.

p.s. I would LOVE to see some finished projects!!

Toopy & Binoo

My little guy LOVES Toopy & Binoo, it's a cartoon and I have to admit it's pretty cute. I think it's only aired in Canada so it's hard to find toys for it. In the show Binoo is a stuffed toy cat but is also Toopys best friend and they go on a lot of imaginary adventures together.

I wanted to crochet a little Binoo for my son, so I purchased a pattern from this shop on etsy

I'm fairly new at crocheting stuffies but really enjoyed working on this project, the fun part is I could finish a body part in a night so it always felt like I was accomplishing something. I found the pattern to be pretty straight forward and easy to follow and the end result turned out perfectly!!!!

My Little guy LOVES him and knew exactly who he was as soon as he saw him.

Now because this turned out so well my next project is going to be making a Toopy Costume for Halloween, there are no patterns for Toopy so I'm going to attempt to adjust a different pattern. I will post my Toopy Costume adventure in stages as I get started.
